Castle Kennedy and Gardens
Lochinch Castle and Castle Kennedy and Gardens are the home and Gardens to the Earl and Countess of Stair. Castle Kennedy Gardens offer a unique experience to see a large landscaped garden in beautiful unspoilt scenery. The Gardens at Castle Kennedy change so much throughout the seasons it is not possible to cover the whole garden year on the map. A guidebook is available in the shop, which contains suggested routes to follow, but the gardens are also fantastic to just wander in for up to a day! The gardens are usually open from Easter until the end of September from 10.00 until 17.00 daily. For more information go to the visitors information.
Refreshments are also available in the small tearoom attached to the entry point to the garden, and our garden centre which is stocked with a variety of plants.
Individuals can become more involved with the work of the Garden and its activities through becoming a volunteer. or maybe you would like to join us as a friend.
The gardens are available as a venue for wedding receptions etc. Please contact the office for further information.
Facilities are also suitable for disabled access, although wheel chair users should be aware that all paths are grass and that some difficulty may result.
Regardless of the time of year, Castle Kennedy Gardens are always worth a visit – on your own, with your family, your school or a group.
We welcome responsible dog owners and all friendly dogs on leads.
