Once you have had an initial indoor lesson with us, you can move on and tackle the Archery Range with real life 3D targets in the forest. Live like your ancestors and try and catch your food, taking on a bear, a wolf, a boar and a deer, but only heart shots will count in this exciting new archery range.

Never shot before? Not a problem.  With our in-house instructors, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know, including gun safety, master eye, holding the gun, aiming and hitting your first clay.  We’ll be right next to you all the time to give tips where required.

Shot before and hold your own certificate?  Great!  We can run sporting clay sessions for you or even a simulated game drive.

All you need to have a go is a minimum of 2 people some warm and padded clothing depending on the time of year and some sturdy footwear.

The adventure starts from the second you arrive when you get harnessed up and then take the 10 minute off road journey to the top. It’s high, the road is bumpy, but the views are just breath taking.

Members of  lagan outdoor activity centre team will then talk you through the procedure and then it’s launch time – get clipped in, safety checks will be carried out and then you’re off, hurling down hill at up to 30 metres above the ground at speeds of up to 45 mph. You’ll have the best view of the whole centre from up here, flying over the Mountain Balling track, Mountain Boarding track and thankfully missing the Clay Pigeon shooting ground!

Once at the bottom, you’ll be greeted by another friendly member of lagan outdoor activity centre o team who will help you back down to solid ground. And if you’re mad enough, you can do it all again!
