A large and comfortable living room has a wood-burning stove supplemented by electric radiators.
There is a comfortable sofa-bed, a 40" flat screen TV with Freesat, and a BluRay/DVD player.
There is a selection of DVDs available for you to watch, together with a collection of books.
There is a large comfortable bedroom with a double bed, and a smaller bedroom with a bunk bed. Both have electric radiators and blackout curtains.
There is a bath fitted with an electric shower, and a separate toilet. The well-appointed kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a large fridge/freezer.
Well-behaved pets are welcome, but please keep them under control as there are farm animals about, and please make sure you clean up after your dog. The cottage is most suited for small dogs.
Please note that this is a no-smoking holiday cottage.
The self-catering cottage has a large fenced private garden, mainly grassed over, where it is lovely to sit and unwind in the sun with a glass of wine, or have a BBQ.
There are a few fir trees in the garden to provide a wind break, and a large hedge for privacy.
From the garden you can see the North Channel with the coast of Ireland in the distance.
The cottage is situated on a farm road with little passing traffic, and there is a large secure shed for storing cycles, fishing/walking gear, and outdoor equipment.
A small fishing boat can be kept in the garden if required. This beautiful countryside is ideal for exploring, walking, rambling, hillwalking, cycling, driving, birdwatching, boating, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and caravaning and camping.
Best of all it is one of the quietest holiday destinations in Scotland.
Nearby places: Portpatrick - a beautiful village with a harbour, very popular with visitors to the area is only 7 miles away, Sandhead - small village with a very large beach, popular with tourists is only 3 miles away, Stranraer is the nearest large town, it has a railway station and a very busy port is 9 miles away and Drummore which is a village, near the very beautiful Mull of Galloway and its famous lighthouse, it is 7 miles away.
